Life Groups are small groups of women who meet outside of the church for encouragement, fellowship, and Bible study. Life groups provide opportunities for women to encourage and support one another, build new relationships, and dig into the Word of God in a more personal, intimate setting. Some groups are deep and personal, while others are light and fun. They all provide excellent opportunities for women to connect with one another and with our Lord. New Women’s Life Groups are finally here!
We are excited to invite you to participate in one of the
new life groups that are meeting this month!
Relevance – Is God’s Word relevant? Does it truly make a difference in my life today? We will learn to get into the Word of God for ourselves and find that His Word has everything we need for our daily lives. This is a “short series” led by Jennifer Pinkerton. We hope to use this group to launch a number of new Bible study life groups. We will meet on the 1st and 3rd Monday evenings in February, March, and April at 8 PM. DAME (Divorce Advice Mentoring and Encouragement) Group – This group is intended to support and encourage women who are walking through divorce or separation. You are not alone! Come find a group of friends to walk through this struggle with you. Times and locations vary. Contact Tamela Grass at grfamily5@msn.com for more details.
GIRL Book Club (Girls in the Reading Lounge) – Do you love to read? Would you love to have a group of friends to share your favorite books with? This group will read both fiction and non-fiction Christian books – books for growth, and books for fun. This group will meet the first Thursday of each month at 8 PM. Locations vary. GRACE Home Schoolers - Do you home school your children? Are you interested in finding out more about home schooling? You are invited to be a part of these women who encourage and support one another as they strive to educate their children at home. This group includes weekly educational activities for the kids, as well as a monthly "Mom's Night Out". For more information contact Michelle Gerdes at gerdes.m@hotmail.com .
“The Real Deal” playgroup – This playgroup is an overflow of “The Real Deal” class at Harvest. They meet on Wednesday or Thursday mornings at 10:30 at various locations for a much needed time of fellowship and fun. They would love for some new moms to join them! Weekday Walkers – Join with this group of ladies as they walk together weekday mornings at 6:30 AM in the Park Glen area. What a great way to get a little exercise and enjoy some encouragement and accountability along the way! Warning: this group does not walk in rain, snow, or temperatures under 40 degrees.
