Harvest Church

we are a collection of students ranging anywhere from 6th to 12th grade. we find our home in the DFW metroplex. the thing that brings us all together on a regular basis is the desire to center our lives more and more on Jesus Christ. we don't claim to be perfect or have it all together, but we do claim to have been affected, changed and transformed through trusting in all that God has done for us in Christ.

nexus is a worship experiece involving both middle school and high school.  this gathering meets every wednesday night at 7 p.m. in the gym.

nexus gatherings will have elements of worship, arts & teaching.

nexus intends to connect students with honesty and relevance in order to ignite the depth, freedom, healing and joy that comes in being a follower of Jesus and making Him number one in your life.           

hsl connexion is a small group Bible study setting that meets on Sunday morning at 9 a.m. in the gym before the weekly church-wide worship gathering.  this gathering serves as a “wide-open front door, low-threshold” environment allowing the hsl community to interact socially and in biblical discussion on a grade by grade level.

cravegroups are in-home, in-depth, small group Bible studies broken into three sections… 6th & 7th grade, 8th & 9th grade, & 10th thru 12th grade. cravegroups will meet every sunday night from 5:30-7:30.

these gatherings will highlight the values of truth and disciple making by being moments where depth is pursued.  these gatherings will also help in further exposing our students to in-home small groups in hopes of building a culture of Christ-followers that value the significance meeting in small group communities.

In our opinion Student Life puts on one of the best camps in America.  They will bring top notch speakers and bands.  This years theme is Re: What does the Lord require of you? Pulled from Micah 6:8.  The speakers and bands will challenge your student to think about having a real relationship with God in response to His redemptive work.  We believe that this week will be a week of transforming teaching, unbridled worship and awesome discoveries.

This years speaker is Wes Hamilton.  Wes is a teaching pastor at Lake Point Church in Rockwall Texas.  He has a unique teaching style which he has been using to challenge students to take the next step in their relationship with Christ for over 10 years.  

We also have the privilege to be lead in musical worship by Aaron Ivey.  Aaron is the Worship Pastor at a church called The Austin Stone in Austin Texas.  The middle school students will remember Aaron form our camp last summer.

In the past we have gone to two separate camps, one for middle school and one for high school.  We are not straying too far from that model.  We will be taking two separate groups to the same camp.  By doing this we can feel a sense of unity while protecting our small group teaching environments.
