Shawnette was born in northern California and moved to Texas at the age of 11, where she grew up in Plano.

Salvation Experience

Shawnette came to know the Lord as her personal Savior at the age of 7, while attending a backyard Vacation Bible School. She decided at that time that she wanted to be a school teacher. In high school, she responded to God's call to minister to children at her church.

Previous Profession/Education

Shawnette has a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of North Texas.

Shawnette was a 4th grade teacher for the Plano Independent School District for 6 years before entering full-time ministry.

Hobbies and Interests

Shawnette enjoys reading, gardening, home improvement projects and spending time with her boys.
